SlashNext Expands Collaboration with Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) Membership

Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) Membership

We are excited to expand our collaboration with Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) by integrating our artificial intelligence (AI) technology and real-time threat detection with Microsoft Sentinel. This collaboration enables us to deliver precision threat detection and management to Sentinel. See press release here.

Microsoft Intelligent Security Association consists of an ecosystem of independent software vendors and managed security service providers that have integrated their solutions with Microsoft security technology to help customers better defend themselves against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

As a MISA member and through our expanded collaboration, SlashNext will accelerate the global reach and delivery of SlashNext’s patented HumanAI™, a combination of computer vision, natural language processing and behavioral contextualization. Our HumanAI™ solution detects malicious URLs, Business Email Compromise (BEC), malware, and exploits in real time while working in collaboration with Microsoft and its partners to further improve threat detection and management for enterprise, government, and other public sector customers.

Microsoft Sentinel is a cloud-native SIEM solution that provides real-time protection, threat detection, and security incident response capabilities for an organization’s information assets. SlashNext with Microsoft Sentinel delivers instant value by automatically identifying malicious URLs with precision 99.9% detection and low false positives. This enables a seamless investigation, response, and connection with other Microsoft Sentinel solutions and services to remediate newly discovered threats to protect the enterprise from zero-hour threats not being detected by other security tools, before they compromise the organization.

As hybrid work expands, attack surfaces and cybercriminals abuse trusted services as evasion techniques, and security solutions fail to detect attacks until it is too late. Stronger multi-channel protection technologies are required to identify these threats across all security platforms, no matter the communication channel (email, mobile, social media, collaboration platforms, etc.). SlashNext customers benefit by preventing attacks and by consolidating threat discovery to automated real-time detection for improved detection rates without needless complexity and alert fatigue.

It is also noteworthy that the demands of the modern workforce, specifically hybrid work, have caused an exponential shift in the use of native cloud email protection capabilities, like Microsoft 365. This has led to an increase in the adoption of Integrated Cloud Email Security (ICES) solutions in place of Secure Email Gateways (SEGs). The best way to ensure your email security solution will meet the demands of the modern workforce is to have protection that meets the demands of the new threat landscape, including:

  • Full Defense-in-Depth approach to email security by supplementing Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (E5) with ICES.
  • Use of advanced detection techniques such as computer vision machine learning against advanced phishing threats and other highly targeted threats.
  • Best-in-class zero-hour phishing protection to protect your Microsoft 365 cloud users.
  • Automation of the response of suspicious emails using SIEM/SOAR integration to reduce overburdened IT security teams.
  • Multi-channel protection for threats in Email, SMS, Microsoft 365, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Zoom, Box, and other messaging channels.

We have put a white paper together, Microsoft 365+ Integrated Cloud Email Security, explaining how the transition from a secure email gateway to a modern architecture works for the modern enterprise. You can download the complete Microsoft 365+ Integrated Cloud Email Security Whitepaper here.
